How much does the monitoring cost?

There is a $100 one-time set up and activation fee for devices, plus a daily monitoring fee, depending on the type of monitoring we will provide. Fees range from $50-100 per week.

Are the GPS devices waterproof?

The ReliAlert is waterproof up to 15ft, however your are NOT permitted to go swimming or use a hot tub. We ask you to only shower.

How long do I have to charge?

ReliAlert - 3 solid hours every other day to maintain a 48-60 hour battery life.

Who gets notified for a problem?

For self-monitoring we contact you directly, or anyone you have designated as a contact person. Or we generally follow the Court minutes issued by the court or law enforcement. The supervising officer in terms of probation or court order will be notified. We notify your bail agent / surety company if you are being monitored as a condition of your bond release.

Who does the monitoring?

Our Monitoring Center does all the monitoring - open 24-hours per day, 7-days a week, even on holidays. Our trained Monitoring Officers are there for you around-the-clock!

What happens if I don’t charge?

Keeping your device charged is a requirement of your release and or sentence. Failure to maintain a proper charge will result in a violation with the court, probation, or your bail agent. You place yourself at risk of going back into custody.

Alcohol Monitoring FAQs

 

How much does the monitoring cost?

What will trigger a positive BAC?

Obviously alcohol. However there are several other items such as energy drinks, cold medicine, mouthwash, etc. Anything that contains any ethanol at all.

Who gets notified of violations?

Depending on your case, we would notify your attorney, the court, probation, etc….

Who do I contact for a problem?

You contact the person who installed your device or our company. We will provide you with options at enrollment.

What happens if I don’t test?

Not taking your scheduled and random tests will be deemed a violation and will be reported.

Bail Release Monitoring FAQs

 

Why do I need an ankle monitor?

There are a couple of reasons why you might be on an ankle monitor during your bail release:

  • You might not have enough collateral to cover your bond

  • You might be considered high risk due to a large bond

  • The court may order you to wear an ankle monitor as a condition of your release

What happens if I don’t charge?

More than not, the bail agency will dispatch a recovery agent to pick you up and potentially surrender your bond.

What happens if I leave my area?

Your bail agent will be notified. He/she then has the option of having you picked up and returned to jail due to breach of release conditions.

How long do I have to wear it?

Usually until your bond has been exonerated by the court.

What if I don’t pay for monitoring?

More than not, the bail agency will dispatch a recovery agent to pick you up and potentially surrender your bond. In addition your co-signer will be left with your bill and potentially go to collections. Collections would be to you and your co-signer.
